Location:

Lion Sands Ivory Lodge is located on the banks of the Sabie River in the game rich Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, South Africa. The Sabie Sands Game Reserve is home to a diverse range of African wildlife and is situated next to the well known Kruger National Park, South Africa.

Access to Lion Sands Ivory Lodge is either by self drive from Johannesburg or air. Flights are available from OR Tambo International Airport to Mala Mala Airfield, Skukuza Airport and Kuger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA). Road transfers can be arranged from these airports to Lion Sands Ivory Lodge.

Directions from Johannesburg, South Africa:

From Johannesburg, take the N12 / N4 highway towards the town of Nelspruit. From Nelspruit, take the R40 to Hazyview. Once at Hazyview, turn right onto the R536 towards the Paul Kruger Gate. After about 38km (23.61 miles), turn left onto a gravel road at the signpost for Lion Sands.

Continue along this gravel road for about 2km (1.24 miles) until you reach a T-junction. Turn right at the T-junction and drive for about 5km (3.10 miles) until you reach the Sabi Sands Gate. You will have to pay an entrance fe per vehicle.

Once through the gate, drive straight following the signposts for Sabi Sands. Continue for about 2km (1.24 miles). Then turn at the Sabi Sands sign. Follow the signs for Lion Sands Ivory lodge until you reach this Sabi Sands safari lodge.
