Location:
This lodge in the Sabi Sands is situated in the northern regions of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. It is located in a 5 000 hectare area and is well known for its rich diversity in animal and bird life.
This lodge in Sabi Sands is an easy 5 and a half hour drive from Johannesburg through the scenic Mpumalanga. It also has it's own airstrip and affordable charters can easily be arranged.

Directions via Nelspruit/White River/Hazyview:
From Johannesburg, go past the airport to Witbank onto the N4 through to Nelspruit. Take the R40 from Nelspruit to White River and proceed 53 kilometres (32.9 miles) to Hazyview.
From there, a further 32 kilometres (19.8 miles) to Bosbokrand and from there 43 kilometres (26.7 miles) to Acornhoek. Turn right towards Acornhoek off the R40. From here travel 11.9 kilometres (7.4 miles) to end of tarred road. Travel another 15.2 kilometres (9.4 miles) on the sand road until you reach a gate.
Once through the gate, travel 12.8 kilometres (7.9 miles) to a T-junction. (Be sure to pass by Gottenberg and Manyeleti turn off's that branch to the left before the T-junction). At the T-junction, turn left and follow the Chitwa Chitwa signs - travel 11.6 kilometres (7.2 miles) to main gate of Sabi Sands Game Reserve, South Africa. Pass through the gate and follow the Chitwa Chitwa signs that will lead you to either Game or Safari Lodge in Sabi Sands Game Reserve, South Africa.
Directions via Belfast:
Take the R22 from Johannesburg - past Witbank and Middleburg to Belfast. Turn left onto the R540. Pass Dullstroom to Lydenburg. From Lydenburg take the R36 to Orighstad. Still on the R36 pass through the Strijdom Tunnel. Continue on R527 Hoedspruit road for 15 kilometres (9.3 miles). Turn right to R531 Klaserie. Travel another 31 kilometres (19.2) to Acornhoek.
From here travel 11.9 kilometres (7.4 miles) to end of tarred road. Travel 15.2 kilometres (9.4 miles) on the sand road until you reach a gate. Once through the gate, travel 12.8 kilometres (7.9 miles) to a T-junction. (Be sure to pass by Gottenberg and Manyeleti turn off's that branch to the left before the T-junction).
At the T-junction, turn left and follow the Chitwa Chitwa signs - travel 11.6 kilometres (7.2 miles) to main gate of Sabi Sands Game Reserve, South Africa. Pass through the gate and follow the Chitwa Chitwa signs that will lead you to either Game or Safari Lodge in Sabi Sabi Sands Game Reserve, South Africa.
