Inyati Game Lodge is set within the western sector of the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa's Lowveld region.

The Sabi Sand Game Reserve is a nature lover and wildlife enthusiast's paradise that's renowned for providing abundant game viewing, particularly close encounters of the elusive leopard. Sharing a common unfenced boundary with the Kruger National Park, it spans 50 000 hectares and is not open to the general public. Each private lodge has exclusive traversing rights over its area.

The reserve's dense wildlife concentration means it offers guarantees sightings of the Big Five and its hot, sub-tropical climate means game viewing activities are rewarding during both its two distinct seasons.

The summer season (September to March) is when many species breed and prey is bountiful for predators. The rainfall between October and February makes for incredible afternoon thundershowers and in winter (April to August), the grass is low and animals gather around perennial water sources, which means better game viewing.
